Your Advocate

Alison Stone

As a dedicated advocate for special education, I bring over 25 years of rich experience in the field of education. My journey began as a General Education classroom teacher in Los Angeles, where I cultivated a deep understanding of the diverse needs of students. Transitioning to a role as the lead teacher for elementary students with Autism in Scottsdale allowed me to specialize in providing tailored support and fostering inclusive environments.

In my capacity as the Special Education Coordinator at a prestigious Prep School in Phoenix, I assumed the responsibility of overseeing the educational journey of students with IEPs and 504 plans across multiple grade levels. This role not only honed my organizational skills but also deepened my commitment to ensuring equitable access to education for all learners.

My tenure as an Administrator at a Charter School in Phoenix further solidified my dedication to advocacy. Serving as the school’s representative in numerous IEP and 504 meetings, I witnessed firsthand the transformative impact of collaborative efforts in securing essential accommodations and supports for students with special needs.

Throughout my career, I have championed collaboration and open communication among parents, educators, and school districts. By fostering partnerships and sharing knowledge, I strive to empower parents to navigate the intricate landscape of special education advocacy confidently.

My unwavering belief in the potential of every child drives me to continue advocating tirelessly for inclusive educational environments where all students can thrive. I am committed to leveraging my expertise to ensure that educational institutions uphold their legal obligations and provide the necessary resources for students with special needs to succeed. Together, let us pave the way for a future where every child receives the support and opportunities they undeniably deserve.
